Defeating enemies generates credits, which must be actively spent to either build new towers or upgrade existing ones to increase their range, damage, and fire rate. You lose the level if too many enemies breach your defenses and deplete your base's shields. The pacing is dynamic; you are given a brief calm period to plan and build before manually calling in the next wave, which turns the game into an intense, high-speed juggling act of upgrading turrets while under heavy fire.
Beginner Tips
- Build at corners. Place your most expensive, highest-damage turrets at the U-turns and corners of the path so they can shoot at enemies for the longest possible time.
- Use EMPs and slowers. Raw damage isn't enough; always place slowing towers at the start of your kill zones to keep fast enemies under fire longer.
- Upgrade over spamming. It is generally much more effective to have three fully upgraded, high-tier laser cannons than ten weak, level-one basic blasters.
- Review the enemy wave preview. Check which types of aliens are coming next. If heavily armored ships are arriving, switch your focus to armor-piercing plasma weapons.
